Role Overview
We are looking for driven and detail-oriented individuals to join our Investment Banking Analyst / Graduate Finance Program. This program is ideal for candidates enthusiastic about corporate finance, capital markets, financial analysis, and strategic advising. Participants will gain hands-on experience with financial modeling, valuation, market research, and transaction support, all while collaborating with seasoned professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough financial analyses, industry research, and market intelligence to assist business decision-making.
- Develop and update financial models, forecasts, and conduct valuation assessments.
- Support the creation of investment presentations, financial reports, and client documentation.
- Evaluate financial statements, operational performance, and critical business metrics.
- Assist with activities related to mergers and acquisitions, capital fundraising, corporate finance, and strategic consulting.
- Monitor trends in markets, economic factors, and industry dynamics.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of companies and their competitors.
- Contribute to due diligence, transaction documentation, and validation of financial data.
- Prepare analytical reports, dashboards, and summaries for internal teams.
- Collaborate with finance, investment, legal, and business units on strategic projects.
- Ensure accurate financial documentation and adherence to compliance standards.
- Participate in business planning, budgeting processes, and reviewing financial performance.
- Present findings and financial insights effectively and professionally.
- Promote process improvements using data analytics and operational efficiencies.
- Keep updated with financial markets, investment products, regulatory changes, and emerging trends.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or related disciplines.
- Firm grounding in corporate finance, accounting principles, financial markets, and fundamental investment concepts.
- Experience with financial statement interpretation, valuation methods, and basic financial modeling.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant financial analytical software.
- Strong analytical, quantitative reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to translate financial data into practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including presentation skills.
- Organizational ability to manage several priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Keen attention to detail ensuring high accuracy.
- Capable of working independently and as part of cross-disciplinary groups.
- Bonus: Familiarity with capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, equity research or investment analysis.
