This graduate finance opportunity is designed to build capability across investment banking, corporate finance, and capital markets. Core responsibilities

The role involves reviewing financial statements, researching companies, studying industries, gathering market intelligence, and comparing competitors to assess performance and investment potential. It also includes building financial models, valuation work, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, corporate finance, and strategic advisory assignments.

You will also help develop pitch books, investment decks, transaction documents, management reports, and executive summaries that present findings and recommendations clearly. In addition, you will support due diligence by examining financial records, organizing documents, flagging possible risks, and helping progress transactions through each stage of the project.

The position requires ongoing tracking of capital market activity, economic movements, regulatory updates, and broader industry trends to produce timely insights for decision-making. You will work closely with finance specialists, business leaders, legal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate analysis and high-quality delivery across engagements.

Qualifications and capabilities

Applicants should have a solid grounding in corporate finance, investment banking, financial analysis, valuation techniques, capital markets, financial statements, and financial modelling. Good working knowledge of spreadsheets, presentation tools, financial databases, reporting systems, and business intelligence platforms is expected, and familiarity with data visualization and financial analytics software is beneficial.

The role calls for strong numerical thinking, problem-solving ability, and confidence in interpreting financial data, performing valuations, spotting investment opportunities, and supporting strategic decisions. Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing, DCF analysis, comparable company analysis, due diligence, forecasting, portfolio analysis, and risk assessment is important.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills are needed to prepare professional reports, presentations, financial documents, and executive summaries for different audiences. Strong organisation, close attention to detail, adaptability, curiosity, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving, collaborative, results-driven environment are also essential.
