Investment Associate - Private Credit

About the Role and Company

Our client is a premier ASX-listed Australian financial services company experiencing rapid expansion within its asset management division, particularly in private credit fund management. Originally focused on principal investments, the private credit fund now manages capital from both international and domestic institutional investors. Their credit investment portfolio includes structured finance, middle market opportunistic credit, and sponsor direct lending. The firm is emphasizing growth in corporate and sponsor lending capabilities, especially in the middle market segment, and has demonstrated strong performance with recent international acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies across corporate and sponsor finance within a diverse credit investment platform.
• Lead end-to-end transaction execution and portfolio management for unitranche, TLB, and senior secured corporate loans in middle market bilateral and club deals.
• Engage across various credit investment opportunities including structured finance and opportunistic credit to build well-rounded investment expertise.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of leveraged finance experience, preferably in banking roles.
• Alternatively, candidates from industrial investment banking backgrounds aiming to transition into private credit will be considered.
• Strong analytical skills to assess a range of credit opportunities within a competitive middle market environment.
