Investment Associate

Role Overview

Bafleh Jewellery is seeking an Investment Associate to support the family office’s investment activity in Dubai. The role spans sourcing opportunities, evaluating transactions, monitoring portfolio performance, and assisting senior leadership with reporting, planning, and execution across a broad mix of asset classes.

Investment Origination & Execution

• Identify and assess fresh investment opportunities that fit the family’s mandate, including private equity, real assets, listed securities, and structured products.
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with private banks, placement agents, advisors, and transaction intermediaries operating in the UAE.
• Create detailed financial models and carry out tailored analysis to support investment decisions and deal negotiations.
• Review, refine, and prepare investment memorandums, diligence materials, and transaction documents to a principal-ready standard.
• Deliver analytical support throughout debt and equity transactions across multiple asset classes.

Portfolio Monitoring & Asset Management

• Track the performance of the single-family office’s portfolio, highlighting risks, measuring key performance indicators, and spotting opportunities to improve value.
• Support and execute asset management initiatives, including oversight of the family’s real estate interests in the UAE and wider region.
• Assess potential exit routes and timing for current holdings, and present clear recommendations to the CIO.

Research, Diligence & Reporting

• Carry out in-depth research on companies, sectors, and country markets, with emphasis on the UAE, GCC, and other relevant emerging markets.
• Build financial forecasts and scenario-based models for stress testing portfolios and supporting strategic planning.
• Prepare polished investment updates, presentations, and performance packs for principal review.
• Conduct financial and commercial due diligence for acquisition targets and new product opportunities.

Relationship Management & Family Office Support

• Use private banking and wealth management relationships to originate proprietary deal flow and co-investment opportunities.
• Serve as a point of coordination between the family office and external stakeholders such as private banks, relationship managers, fund managers, legal advisers, and regulators.
• Support the CIO with budgeting, capital allocation analysis, and strategic planning, while adapting to the family’s changing priorities.
• Maintain clear and consistent reporting on deals and activities for the CIO and other relevant stakeholders.
• Work closely with non-investment teams, including legal, tax, and administration, to help transactions move smoothly within UAE regulatory requirements.
