Investment Analyst – Long/Short Equity (TMT & Consumer)

About the Role

A dynamic long/short equity hedge fund is inviting a full-time Investment Analyst to enhance its focused and high-caliber investment team. The fund specializes in rigorous fundamental research and confident investment decision-making within the global Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) and Consumer sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth fundamental research on companies and industries within the TMT and Consumer spaces.
• Design and update comprehensive financial models.
• Generate and articulate investment ideas highlighting clear risk and reward considerations.
• Track portfolio holdings and stay updated on sector trends and news.
• Compile detailed investment memoranda and relevant analysis materials.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least two years’ experience in investment banking is required.
• Experience in public equities on the buyside is highly advantageous.
• Exhibit strong expertise in financial analysis, modeling, and valuation techniques.
• Proven passion for fundamental investing approaches.
• Ability to think independently and communicate information clearly and succinctly.
• Adept at thriving in a lean, fast-moving work environment.

Compensation

The position offers a base salary ranging between $190,000 and $200,000 annually, complemented by a discretionary bonus.
