Job description
Role overview
The organization is looking for a sharp, detail-driven Investment Analyst / Financial Analyst to help evaluate financial performance, research investment opportunities, and support planning decisions. The position focuses on turning financial data into clear insights that can guide strategy, portfolio oversight, and long-term financial direction.
What you will do
You will build and maintain financial models, assess opportunities through valuation work, and study market conditions to understand risk and return. The role involves reviewing financial statements, spotting trends, tracking portfolio performance, and preparing research-backed reports for decision-making.
Core work also includes producing forecasts and budgeting support, carrying out variance analysis, and assisting with capital allocation discussions. Depending on the business focus, you may review equities, fixed income, or other asset classes and help form recommendations using both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
In addition, you will work closely with finance, investment, strategy, and risk teams to validate assumptions, gather information, and support investment processes. The role also includes monitoring macroeconomic indicators, studying industry developments, preparing stakeholder presentations, and contributing to due diligence for possible investments.
What we are looking for
This role calls for strong analytical thinking, solid numerical ability, and careful attention to detail. You should be comfortable interpreting complex financial information and presenting it in a practical, easy-to-understand way.
Qualifications and background
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field is required. Progress toward or completion of professional finance certifications such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, or similar is considered an advantage.
Additional knowledge and tools
Strong understanding of financial analysis, investment fundamentals, valuation methods, and corporate finance is important. It is also beneficial to have familiarity with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, performance review, capital markets, portfolio management, and risk-return concepts.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, is expected. Experience with financial databases, analytics platforms, or investment research tools will be an added advantage.
Key qualities
The ideal candidate should bring strong problem-solving ability, excellent organization, professionalism, and a high level of integrity. Clear communication skills are important, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. A proactive mindset and willingness to continue learning are also essential.
