Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a meticulous and highly analytical Investment Analyst / Financial Analyst to play a key role in guiding investment choices, financial planning, and assessing business results. This position involves scrutinizing financial data, performing market and industry research, crafting financial models, and delivering strategic insights supporting the expansion and investment goals of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Examine financial statements, business performance metrics, and market information to underpin investment and fiscal decisions.
- Develop and update financial models, forecasts, budgets, and valuation analyses accurately.
- Perform research on industries, companies, and competitive landscapes.
- Track economic trends, financial markets, and potential investment prospects.
- Assess investment outcomes and compile detailed analytical reports for stakeholders.
- Help with portfolio evaluation, risk analysis, and asset allocation assessments.
- Generate financial reports, dashboards, presentations, and concise management summaries.
- Assist with budgeting processes, forecasting activities, and planning for long-term financial goals.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to detect trends impacting business operations.
- Work collaboratively with finance, operations, and business divisions to offer data-driven advice.
- Conduct variance analyses to identify and recommend opportunities for financial performance enhancements.
- Support due diligence efforts, business case preparation, and strategic investment projects.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data and reporting methodologies.
- Maintain financial documents in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to process enhancements by improving reporting efficiency and analytical frameworks.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or related disciplines.
- Solid grasp of financial analysis, investment theory, corporate finance, and accounting principles.
- Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and valuation techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and tools for financial analysis.
- Understanding of financial reporting standards and ability to analyze financial statements.
- Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning capabilities.
- Skill in interpreting complex financial information and presenting actionable insights clearly.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail ensuring precision and accuracy in all tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Capability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Work effectively independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with business intelligence software, data visualization, or financial databases is advantageous.
- Knowledge of capital markets, portfolio management, and investment analysis concepts is a plus.
