About the Role
DHL Global Forwarding, a leader in air, ocean, and road freight, is seeking an Inventory Specialist for its Dammam, Saudi Arabia location. This role is crucial for developing and managing inventory plans and processes to optimize stock levels and ensure efficient operations. You will be instrumental in analyzing and managing the replenishment system in alignment with business strategies and corporate policies. Responsibilities
- Develop and administer inventory management plans and processes to identify, evaluate, and enhance organizational inventories through analysis and operation of the replenishment system, adhering to business strategy, objectives, corporate guidelines, and policies.
- Implement an inventory tracking system to refine inventory control procedures.
- Execute plans aimed at optimizing inventory, focusing on reducing stockouts while minimizing unhealthy and unsellable stock.
- Oversee the complete movement of stock and perform reconciliations to resolve any discrepancies.
- Implement inventory management plans to meticulously monitor the accuracy of weekly data, historical trends, network changes, lead times, past and future promotional activities, new product details, pricing, and customer service performance metrics.
- Generate and maintain detailed reports on inventory operations, current stock levels, and any adjustments made.
- Coordinate effectively with various warehouse teams and other supply chain departments, including logistics and sourcing.
- Reconcile daily deliveries and shipments to ensure accurate inventory counts.
Stakeholder Interaction
- Potentially influence peers within the job area by explaining facts, policies, and practices.
- Primarily support and interact with colleagues within the same function.
- Cultivate relationships and gain a thorough understanding of customer and key stakeholder interests and concerns.
- Address task-related issues promptly to maintain positive working relationships.
Management Responsibility
- This is an individual contributor role with no direct responsibility for leading a team.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification is required.
- A minimum of over 2 years of relevant experience is necessary.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
