Job description

Role Overview

This position is for an Inventory Planner based in Toronto, ON, requiring a 12-month contractual commitment with a hybrid work model of four days onsite and one day remote. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in the retail, fashion, apparel, or sporting goods sectors.

Key Duties

  • Oversee management of Purchase Orders (POs) and product stock keeping units (SKUs).
  • Perform detailed analysis of inventory data while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist with planning for inventory allocation and replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, suggesting enhancements to processes.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Planning, Distribution Center, and Store operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of two years experience in inventory planning, merchandise planning, allocation planning, or data analysis.
  • Proficient in managing large datasets, PO handling, SKU knowledge, and retail mathematics.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including capabilities with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and advanced formulas.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience within the retail industry.
  • Familiarity with SAP and/or Retail Pro systems.
  • Background with global retail brand environments.
