Job description
Role Overview
This position is for an Inventory Planner based in Toronto, ON, requiring a 12-month contractual commitment with a hybrid work model of four days onsite and one day remote. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in the retail, fashion, apparel, or sporting goods sectors.
Key Duties
- Oversee management of Purchase Orders (POs) and product stock keeping units (SKUs).
- Perform detailed analysis of inventory data while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Assist with planning for inventory allocation and replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, suggesting enhancements to processes.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Planning, Distribution Center, and Store operations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of two years experience in inventory planning, merchandise planning, allocation planning, or data analysis.
- Proficient in managing large datasets, PO handling, SKU knowledge, and retail mathematics.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including capabilities with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and advanced formulas.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience within the retail industry.
- Familiarity with SAP and/or Retail Pro systems.
- Background with global retail brand environments.
