Role Summary

The company is looking for an International Field Service Representative (IFSR) to work with the international Silvus team in delivering customized technical solutions to customers. The role supports technical demonstrations, pre-sales and post-sales assistance, and sales activities for Silvus’ advanced multi-antenna MIMO radio and mesh networking products. The position also contributes feedback that helps shape product development.

This role reports to the Senior Sales Engineer and is fully remote, but candidates must be located in the UAE to qualify for remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical help before and after the sale, including system planning, customer training, and system optimization.
  • Develop strong expertise in Silvus radio and networking solutions and understand how they compare with competing products.
  • Plan and deliver product demonstrations for customer meetings and equipment evaluations.
  • Travel to customer locations to provide hands-on technical support and training.
  • Investigate failures and unusual issues encountered in the field.
  • Document field issues, analyze them, and share findings with the development team.
  • Work with design engineers to reproduce problems and support troubleshooting.
  • Be prepared to travel frequently and work on customer sites as needed.

Requirements

  • Secondary education must be completed, such as GCSEs or an equivalent national qualification, High School Diploma, or GED.
  • Prior experience working as a Field Service Representative or in a similar role is required.
  • Background supporting Ministry of Defense tactical communications, especially data networks and radios, is needed.
  • Good working knowledge of TCP/IP and networking is necessary.
  • Basic English reading and writing ability is required.
  • Strong organizational ability and careful attention to detail are essential.
  • Candidate must already be based in the UAE.
  • Must be willing to travel to potential conflict areas to support radio operations.
  • Employment depends on successfully passing a background check.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time, including work at customer sites.
  • Experience should be at an experienced level.
  • Preferred skills include use of RF instruments, IP radios/modems, wireless systems knowledge, C/C++, Linux, and a military background.
  • Work may involve trade shows, outdoor demos, exposure to heat, cold, and allergens, and lifting equipment up to 50 lbs.
