Overview

About the Group Audit function
The Internal Audit Group provides independent assurance to the Board of Directors and also delivers advisory support that helps strengthen the organisation. Its work is focused on improving internal controls through a structured and disciplined approach, supported by advanced technology, data analytics, and qualified audit professionals. The team contributes to stronger risk management, control, and governance across the bank.
Role summary
This position supports internal audit execution, risk assessment work, and investigation activities in line with internal audit standards and guidelines. The role contributes to effective governance, risk management, and control practices across the bank.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out audit fieldwork in line with the approved annual audit plan.
- Keep audit workpapers and supporting records updated in the audit management system as work progresses.
- Assist the Manager or Lead Auditor in drafting audit issues, observations, and conclusions.
- Apply auditing principles, standards, and professional practices correctly.
- Help maintain and update risk registers.
- Support the creation of audit programs.
- Assist in embedding a risk-focused audit approach that aligns with internal requirements.
- Contribute to special audit projects and advisory-style reviews.
- Take part in whistleblowing investigations and related review activities.
- Provide analysis and support to senior leaders when needed.
- Follow all company and department policies and procedures.
- Deliver work consistently and in accordance with established standards.
- Maintain quality and compliance across all audit assignments.
Experience and qualifications
The preferred candidate should bring 2 to 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: operational audit, financial audit, credit review, or information systems audit. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in credit or IT audit.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. A professional auditing certification is preferred. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are also important. The position is based full time in Abu Dhabi.
