Intern (m/f/d) - Macroeconomics and Capital Markets Research

Role overview

This internship sits within the Economic Research function and supports the Macroeconomics and Capital Markets Research team. The team’s work is focused on delivering macroeconomic and market intelligence that helps clients shape and execute mid-term multi-asset investment strategies. The role involves producing economic and strategic input such as forecasts, scenario-based analysis, and thematic research to support decision-making and thought leadership. The team relies on deep analysis of economic indicators and capital market data, together with fundamental analysis and valuation techniques.

What you will do

• Support the preparation and execution of projects for the Macroeconomics and Capital Markets Research team.
• Help build, update, and maintain databases used by the team.
• Contribute to the development of quantitative and valuation models.
• Take responsibility for managing the team’s chart book.
• Improve and streamline files using Excel and Python-based tools.

What you should bring

• A background in Finance, Economics, Econometrics, Financial Engineering, or Quantitative Research is preferred.
• Genuine interest in, or solid knowledge of, macroeconomics, econometrics, or quantitative finance.
• Strong written and spoken English skills.
• Prior exposure to Python and EViews would be beneficial.
• Very good skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and VBA.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in an international team.
• Self-driven attitude with the confidence to work independently.

Additional information

The internship is scheduled to begin on 01.09.2026 and has a fixed duration of 6 months.
