GenZero emphasizes a comprehensive approach to achieve net zero emissions focusing on three core areas: nature-based solutions that protect and restore ecosystems; technology-driven initiatives for deep decarbonisation; and carbon ecosystem enablers that support the formation of a credible carbon market.
Role Overview
We invite applications for an internship within our Sustainability and Carbon Business team. The intern will aid in advancing our sustainability reporting and climate impact measurement processes and contribute to ESG risk assessments and policy formulation.

- Assist in preparing GenZero’s sustainability report aligned with recognized standards and frameworks.
- Support activities related to carbon accounting, climate impact evaluation, and ESG data management, including quality control and implementation of reporting tools.
- Contribute to ESG risk oversight through portfolio data analysis, assessments, and sustainability due diligence.
- Help develop and apply sustainability policies, guidelines, and internal workflows across the organization.
- Research and analyze best practices in sustainability reporting, carbon markets, sustainable aviation, and emerging trends to back business projects and thought leadership.
- Organize and coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from undergraduate or postgraduate programs in business, finance, sustainability, environmental science, or related fields.
- Passion for climate solutions, sustainability, or ESG topics.
- Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools is a plus.
- Prior knowledge of sustainability reporting standards is advantageous.
- Excellent project management, organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Self-driven, well-organized, and capable of juggling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Additional Information
The internship requires a minimum commitment of three months, with six months preferred. Applicants must submit their CV in PDF format. By applying, candidates consent to GenZero’s data handling policies as outlined in their Privacy Policy. Selected candidates will be contacted for further selection processes including possible background checks. Unsuccessful applicants' data will be retained for two years before destruction.
