Role Summary

This is a fixed-term summer internship lasting 12 weeks, based in our Hamilton, New Zealand office. We seek a student pursuing Process, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering to join our Engineering Project team. As a Project Engineering Intern, you will contribute to delivering innovative solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines.
  • Enhance understanding of engineering within the New Zealand Dairy sector.
  • Engage in diverse project tasks including design, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Develop skills to actively participate in technical discussions.
  • Apply academic engineering knowledge to large-scale projects.
  • Gain experience working with a global industry leader and as part of a sizable engineering team.

Candidate Profile

  • Logical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities adaptable to varied scenarios.
  • Strong work ethic, committed to delivering positive outcomes.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree (preferably in Process, Mechatronics, or Mechanical disciplines), ideally in the third year.
  • Motivated to learn and grow professionally.
  • Comfortable working in construction site environments.
  • Must have New Zealand residency with full legal working rights.
