Job description
Position Overview
The Board is seeking qualified teachers for a temporary interim teaching assignment at St. Joseph's School in Simcoe, Ontario. The role is for Grade 8 and is a full-time equivalent position of 1.0 FTE. The required qualification is Intermediate, and the posting indicates that this is an existing vacancy.
Compensation
The salary offered follows the applicable collective agreement and may be above the posted base range depending on the candidate’s years of experience and QECO classification, up to the A2 maximum.
Hiring and Shortlisting Process
In line with the OECTA Collective Agreement, the Board will first identify the three most senior eligible applicants who hold the required qualifications and invite them to interview. If no qualified occasional teacher applies, or if all qualified applicants decline the interview, external qualified candidates who are not on the occasional teacher roster may then be considered.

The Board will review the information in each applicant’s portfolio for hiring purposes. Candidates are encouraged to keep their portfolio up to date and ensure it includes all relevant details, especially any Additional Qualifications that are not currently shown on the Certificate of Qualification issued by the Ontario College of Teachers.
