Overview

Steel Rose Contractors LLC is seeking a dedicated Interior Project Designer based in New York, USA. This position requires a Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution that qualifies the candidate for Intern status with the Ontario Association of Architects. The ideal applicant will have strong experience in producing detailed construction documents, specifications, and architectural presentations. They must demonstrate proficiency in a variety of design and office software and have previous exposure to active construction sites across different project types.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed architectural presentation materials such as renderings, boards, and booklets.
  • Prepare precise specifications and construction documents essential for project success.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve high-quality outcomes aligned with client expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years’ practical experience working on projects within Ontario.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, specifically Parts 3 and 9.
  • Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited school permitting Intern status with the Ontario Association of Architects.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory.
  • Strong working knowledge of design software including 3D Studio Max, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience in active construction environments across varied project types.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with an aptitude for collaborative work to deliver top-tier results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skill in developing architectural presentation documents with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Familiarity with parametric and computational design tools such as Rhino and Grasshopper.
  • LEED BD+C accreditation is advantageous.
