Job description

About the Role

We are looking for an Interior Designer to support the creation of innovative design solutions, conduct comprehensive research to assist the design team, and oversee design implementation through all project stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out site surveys and feasibility assessments, develop initial concept design schematics, and research furniture and material systems to deliver solutions that align with quality, timeline, and budget expectations.
  • Develop presentation boards and various materials to communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Create detailed drawings, scale models, and renderings adhering to company standards.
  • Participate in coordination meetings to synchronize drawings and resources, establish project requirements, and exchange key information.
  • Prepare documentation for furniture procurement and oversee the delivery and installation processes of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Stay updated with the latest design trends, familiarize with FFE distributors, and enhance presentation methods to improve project outcomes.
  • Prepare and manage construction drawings using REVIT software.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Completed relevant post-secondary education in interior design or related fields.
  • Proficiency in interior design software including AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated experience and creativity in interior design and presentations.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural permits as well as adherence to building codes.
  • Past experience managing projects and clients, with strong project delivery skills.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other professional disciplines.
  • Membership in a recognized professional interior design association is advantageous.

Experience

  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years working on interior design projects.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $105,000 per year.
