About the Role

InForm Design, an acclaimed architectural and interior design firm, is looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join our Interior Design Studio in Honolulu, HI. This full-time, onsite position requires a professional with a minimum of six years in commercial interior design, with a strong emphasis on hospitality, corporate offices, and upscale residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire design process, including conceptual development, space planning, construction documentation, and FF&E selection and procurement.
  • Collaborate efficiently with clients, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to create innovative, functional interior spaces aligned with project objectives.
  • Engage actively in business development, preparing client proposals and delivering compelling presentations to secure new projects.
  • Coordinate and prepare project proposals and documentation.
  • Manage client interfaces and maintain partnerships with vendors and resources.
  • Ensure project completion within budget and resource constraints.
  • Mentor and manage both internal staff and external collaborators.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, fostering networking and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • United States permanent work authorization or citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture; Master’s degree and NCIDQ certification are preferred.
  • Over six years of post-graduate professional experience, with at least two years in project management focusing heavily on hospitality design.
  • Expertise in space planning and a solid grasp of interior design fundamentals.
  • Experience integrating design concepts with architectural teams and frameworks.
  • Advanced skills in producing detailed construction drawings, with familiarity in Revit preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FF&E selection, specification, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent project management capabilities, including leading cross-functional teams and adherence to deadlines.
  • Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office 365, and SketchUp.
  • Demonstrated ability in acquiring new clients and growing business.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving talents with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with high-profile or large-scale projects is an advantage.

  • Annual exempt salary ranging from $60,000 to $105,000 based on education and experience.
