Job description
About the Role
GHD is seeking an experienced Integrity Officer to help reinforce a workplace culture built on integrity, ethical behaviour, and accountability. This position plays a key part in giving reliable guidance on ethics-related issues, supporting open and well-informed decisions, and helping the organisation spot and manage integrity-related risks.
You will be working in a complex environment that changes over time, so strong judgement, discretion, and practical problem-solving are important. The role suits someone who can work through ambiguity, assess risk carefully, and provide advice that is both accurate and easy to act on.
What You’ll Do
- Shape and continuously improve integrity policies and related initiatives.
- Prepare clear, precise, and insightful reporting on integrity risks and the performance of the integrity programme for senior leadership and the Audit Committee.
- Guide employees and leaders on identifying, declaring, and managing conflicts of interest.
- Encourage ethical decision-making and responsible handling of information.
- Carry out investigations and interviews, ensuring matters are resolved consistently, promptly, and with appropriate remediation.
- Deliver integrity-related training and tailored learning for higher-risk areas.
- Enhance integrity frameworks, systems, and processes, including the use of GRC tools.
- Work closely with Legal, Risk, People, and business leaders to build trusted partnerships.
- Lead and support a small team to achieve strong, high-quality outcomes.
About You
We’re looking for someone with tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, Governance, or a closely related discipline, along with hands-on experience in integrity, compliance, legal, or risk-focused roles. You should have a solid grasp of ethics, governance structures, and regulatory settings, plus strong investigation, analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the confidence to influence others and build trust. Because the work involves sensitive matters, you must be able to handle issues with tact and confidentiality. Experience using case management platforms or compliance systems will be an advantage.
This opportunity may also suit someone who is detail-focused and comfortable balancing several projects at once.
Work Location and Arrangement
This role may be based in either Australia or New Zealand, depending on your home base. The position follows a hybrid working model, with three days per week spent in the office for collaboration, connection, and productive team engagement.
Equal Opportunity
GHD values individual achievement and recognises the strength that comes from a diverse workforce. Applications are welcomed from people of all nationalities, genders, and cultural backgrounds.
