About Us
UBTS Pte Ltd runs a substantial fleet of heavy vehicles and specialised equipment. To strengthen its operating controls and risk management approach, the company is looking for a highly organised Insurance Liaison who can help protect the business through strong insurance administration, claims coordination, and cross-functional communication.
Role Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, this position acts as the main contact point for the company’s brokers, underwriters, loss adjusters, and internal teams. The role covers the full insurance process, from policy placement through to final claim settlement, with a focus on keeping coverage effective, compliant, and cost-conscious.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily coordination with brokers, insurers, and assessors across motor fleet, public liability, property, marine cargo, workers’ compensation, and equipment cover.
- Manage claims from start to finish, including submission, document collection, investigation support, settlement tracking, and status reporting.
- Keep insurance records current, including certificates of currency, asset schedules, policy registers, and renewal timelines.
- Work with Operations, Fleet, HR, Legal, and Finance to make sure incidents are reported quickly and all supporting evidence is gathered.
- Assist with annual policy renewals by preparing underwriting packs, asset information, loss history data, premium comparisons, and coverage recommendations.
- Monitor claims patterns, highlight risk areas, and support initiatives aimed at reducing future losses.
- Make sure insurance arrangements meet regulatory, contractual, and lender requirements.
Candidate Profile
The company is seeking someone with at least 3 years of experience in insurance, claims, broking, or risk-related work, preferably in transport, logistics, construction, or another heavy-industry setting. A strong understanding of motor fleet and commercial insurance is important. The ideal candidate should be detailed, dependable with follow-through, and confident working with multiple stakeholders. Comfort handling incomplete or inconsistent data and building structure into disorganised processes is also essential. A Tier 1 or Tier 2 insurance qualification, or an equivalent credential, is preferred. Good Excel skills and familiarity with insurance or claims management systems are required.
