A distinguished Toronto law firm is seeking an Insurance Defence Associate possessing 2 to 4 years of experience to be part of its established insurance litigation group. This role provides a unique chance to engage in sophisticated insurance defence, tort, motor vehicle accident (MVA), personal injury, and civil litigation cases, coupled with exceptional mentorship and courtroom exposure.
Role Details and Responsibilities
The Insurance Defence Lawyer will oversee a comprehensive litigation portfolio addressing complex insurance claims from their start to resolution. Collaboration with senior partners is integral, while also managing independent responsibility for individual cases.
- Conduct insurance defence litigation
- Handle motor vehicle accident (MVA) claims
- Manage tort litigation matters
- Defend personal injury cases
- Address property damage claims
- Resolve coverage-based disputes
- Participate in discoveries, mediations, motions, and trials

Candidate Requirements
- Between 2 and 4 years of insurance defence litigation experience
