Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site position in Butwal for an Insurance Claim Officer. The role centers on handling insurance claims connected to agricultural operations, with responsibility for accurate assessment, proper documentation, and timely settlement. The officer will work closely with farmers, insurance partners, and internal teams to keep the claim process smooth, transparent, and well-documented.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will review claim submissions, check the validity of supporting papers, and coordinate with farmers and insurance providers throughout the process. The role also includes maintaining organized records of claim activity, monitoring claim patterns, spotting irregularities or risks, and communicating updates clearly to all relevant stakeholders. In addition, the officer will support process improvements and help farmers better understand insurance coverage and claim procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A strong ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate claim-related information and documents.
  • Prior experience in claims processing or claims administration, with the ability to manage several cases at once.
  • Working knowledge of insurance claim procedures and related policy or regulatory requirements.
  • Clear communication skills for dealing with farmers, internal teams, and insurance partners.
  • High attention to detail, accurate recordkeeping, and strong organizational habits.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Agriculture, or a similar discipline is preferred.
  • Exposure to agricultural work or familiarity with rural communities will be an advantage.
  • Comfort using basic computer tools as well as claim management or ERP software.
  • Ability to work from the Butwal office and coordinate effectively with varied teams and stakeholders.
