Job Overview
The Instructor Aide role involves providing comprehensive training assistance at the Centre for Adults, focusing on supporting individuals in both the Day Activity Centre and Sheltered Workshop environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engagement activities and structured training sessions tailored for beneficiaries.
- Offer supervision and personalized support using coaching techniques, task segmentation, and behavior management strategies.
- Develop visual materials, detailed task breakdowns, and consistent routines to enhance learning and skill acquisition.
- Work closely with beneficiaries, their families, instructors, allied health professionals, alumni, and community collaborators to promote integrated care and active participation.
- Keep accurate records of programme activities, progress tracking, and assist with planning and administrative tasks essential for operational success.
- Participate in centre-organized events, community programs, and ongoing quality improvement projects, adapting flexibly to meet evolving program and operation requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possesses at least a Nitec certificate or an equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity with a commitment to positively impacting the community.
- Exhibits effective communication abilities along with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of working autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs is required.
- Administrative experience is considered an asset.
