About the Role
Transguard Workforce Solutions, a leading HR provider in the UAE with over ten years of market expertise, is seeking an Infrastructure Support and Monitoring Engineer for their Abu Dhabi office. The position involves providing technical support for enterprise IT infrastructure components such as servers, networks, storage, and related services. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, capacity, and overall health of infrastructure systems while promptly addressing operational issues to sustain business continuity and dependable service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical administration and support for servers, network equipment, storage solutions, and infrastructure services.
- Continuously monitor infrastructure health, availability, and performance using industry-standard enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Investigate and resolve incidents, alerts, and system disruptions promptly, adhering to defined service level agreements.
- Perform primary and secondary troubleshooting of server, network, and infrastructure-related problems.
- Analyze system logs, event alerts, and performance data proactively to prevent potential failures.
- Maintain Windows and Linux server environments through routine maintenance and upkeep.
- Manage user incidents, service requests, and escalations via IT service management systems.
- Interpret infrastructure performance trends to suggest and implement enhancements aimed at increased reliability and efficiency.
- Track and manage infrastructure capacity to fulfill organizational resource requirements.
- Support backup procedures, disaster recovery efforts, and business continuity strategies.
- Work collaboratively with infrastructure, network, security, cloud, and application teams to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Execute system health verifications, patch management, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports including metrics on availability, capacity, performance, incidents, and service levels, alongside documenting procedures and troubleshooting guides.
- Take part in on-call rotations and respond to incidents as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience in infrastructure support, system administration, network operations center activities, or technical support roles.
- Proficiency in supporting Windows Server and Linux operating environments.
- Experience with IT Service Management platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or Remedy.
