About the Role
KPMG India offers opportunities in a dynamic environment where professionals engage with various projects involving enterprise metadata management, lineage, and governance. This role centers on leveraging Informatica tools to enhance metadata integration across multiple technology platforms. The selected individual will be involved in software development activities adhering to KPMG's best practices and collaborate closely with technical architects, business analysts, and other team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage Informatica Metadata and Cloud Data Governance tools for metadata ingestion, scanning, cataloging, curation, and lineage tracking.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data lineage mapping spanning various data stores, applications, and analytics systems.
- Implement metadata quality controls, stewardship practices, classification, and governance methodologies.
- Create custom connector frameworks to integrate metadata from systems not supported by standard Informatica connectors.
- Utilize Informatica Data Integration and Cloud Application Integration (CAI) for seamless metadata onboarding from heterogeneous sources.
- Work collaboratively with business, architectural, and governance teams to align metadata strategies.
Required Expertise
- More than 5 years of experience specializing in Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage.
- Demonstrated expertise with Informatica MCC, Cloud Data Governance Components (CDGC), Data Integration, and CAI platforms.
- Proven success in executing metadata scanning, curation, cataloging, and lineage solutions.
- Experience developing custom metadata connectors and ingestion mechanisms.
- Excellent communication skills combined with effective stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in consulting or client-facing delivery roles is advantageous.
- Certifications such as DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) and/or Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM) are desirable.
