About the Role
Paras Health is looking for an Infection Control Nurse to support infection prevention and patient safety efforts within its nursing and quality functions in Patna. This position focuses on building and maintaining strong infection control practices, meeting applicable healthcare standards, and helping reduce healthcare-associated infections across the facility.
Job Summary
The Infection Control Nurse will be responsible for designing, carrying out, tracking, and reviewing infection prevention and control initiatives across the hospital. The role also supports compliance with regulatory expectations and helps safeguard patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and run infection prevention and control plans within the healthcare setting.
- Monitor infection-related practices and evaluate the effectiveness of control measures.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory and quality standards.
- Work to reduce healthcare-associated infections through structured prevention efforts.
- Promote a safe environment for patients, employees, and visitors.
- Plan and conduct awareness drives, workshops, and campaigns on infection prevention.
- Look into suspected infection outbreaks and related incidents.
- Introduce corrective and preventive actions after investigation findings.
- Coordinate with doctors, clinical teams, and public health authorities when needed.
