Role Overview
The position of Industrial Relations (IR) and Compliance Manager is a full-time role located on-site in Ludhiana, Punjab. This role is entrusted with managing industrial relations by nurturing healthy management-employee connections, addressing grievances effectively, and advocating for equitable workplace standards. The manager also ensures strict compliance with labor legislation, relevant regulations, and internal policies. Furthermore, they uphold social, ethical, and safety standards across factory and office settings.
Key duties involve performing routine audits, generating compliance reports, and partnering with various departments to devise corrective and preventive measures. Training employees on compliance topics, liaising with governmental inspectors and auditors, and assisting management in policy formulation and ongoing process enhancements are essential responsibilities.
Qualifications and Expertise
- Comprehensive understanding of labor laws and industrial relations pertinent to apparel and manufacturing sectors.
- Proven track record in policy enforcement, conducting internal audits, and managing corrective action plans aligned with legal and company standards.
- Exceptional abilities in communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution for collaboration with workforce, leadership, and external entities.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, compile clear reports, and present insights to support leadership decision-making.
- Experience in designing and conducting training sessions on compliance, workplace ethics, health and safety, and company code of conduct.
- Excellent organizational capabilities and efficient time management enabling handling of diverse tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Educational background including a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or related disciplines; additional certifications in labor laws or compliance are valued.
- Prior relevant experience in industrial relations or compliance roles within apparel, textiles, or manufacturing industries is preferred.
