About the Role
Six Senses The Palm, Dubai, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is seeking an experienced Income Auditor to join their finance team. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring operational efficiency within the hotel. The Income Auditor will be responsible for a wide range of duties, from managing stock transactions and supplier checks to compiling detailed cost reports and ensuring compliance with company policies. The position requires a high standard of personal presentation, knowledge of safety procedures, and a commitment to guest privacy. Responsibilities
- Maintain comprehensive records of all stock item transactions.
- Assist in verifying purchasing specifications, checking the quality, price, and service of suppliers to ensure the best value.
- Conduct spot checks on receiving practices to ensure they meet established specifications, reviewing daily supply reports and recording purchases.
- Oversee receiving, storing, and issuing procedures, supervising store-room staff to ensure accurate recording, proper inventory rotation, and prevention of waste and pilferage.
- Prepare monthly food and beverage cost control reports, including detailed analyses of costs, slow-moving items, sales summaries, purchasing price comparisons, and inventory reconciliations.
- Verify figures, postings, and documents for accuracy in entry, mathematical calculations, and proper coding.
- Adhere to all governmental and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to maintain financial records using ledgers or computer systems.
- Report any emerging issues to the Director of Finance.
- Address and resolve daily operational problems and complaints effectively.
- Uphold a high standard of personal appearance, grooming, and hygiene.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all safety, security, and emergency procedures relevant to the position, in line with brand and statutory requirements.
- Ensure the privacy of guests, partners, and owners by protecting sensitive personal data and using confidential information solely for job performance.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within luxury hotels.
- Proven track record of achieving positive results.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Strong understanding of financial record-keeping and auditing principles.
- Proficiency in using financial software and systems.
- Ability to meticulously check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy.
