Job description
Role overview
This position serves as the main visual merchandising resource for the stores. The role focuses on guiding and supporting the visual team to deliver strong in-store presentation, while also partnering with the retail team to drive team development and improve store profitability.
Merchandising responsibilities
- Make sure the weekly visual merchandising pack is fully implemented and that every required action has been completed across the assigned stores.
- Carry out weekly floor walks in the stores to identify anything that needs attention and ensure issues are raised and resolved.
- Confirm that stores are set up in a commercially effective way and that all point-of-sale materials are positioned correctly.
- Review Oracle reports and figures to support decisions on product placement and changes to floor layouts.
Talent and people development
- Coach and develop the in-store team.
- Build training plans together with the Cluster Visual Merchandiser to support employee growth and progression.
- Design and deliver training sessions for store teams and potential future talent.
Communication and culture
- Maintain regular contact with the Cluster Visual Merchandiser and Store Manager.
- Prepare weekly store visit reports for the Cluster Visual Merchandiser and Store Manager, ensuring the team understands the actions required.
- Share new ideas and improvement suggestions with the Visual Merchandiser Manager to support the continued growth of JD Sports Indonesia.

Role requirements
- Previous visual merchandising experience is an advantage.
- Retail management experience would be beneficial.
- Strong leadership and time management abilities are important.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills are required.
- Commercial awareness is essential.
- Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is helpful.
- A driving licence is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Willingness to travel to support new store openings is required.
