Job description
About the Position
We are seeking dedicated individuals to provide impactful, face-to-face tutoring support in Math and English Language Arts for elementary and middle school students in a Lancaster school district. Ideal candidates include college students, education professionals, and aspiring teachers aiming for meaningful community engagement and consistent work hours.
Responsibilities
- Independently tutor groups of up to 15 students using supplied curriculum and instructional materials.
- Foster a positive, engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and appropriate behavior.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and monitor student progress via the HeyTutor Dashboard.
- Assist with student assessments upon request.
- Guide and escort students between designated locations on campus.
- Record working hours daily through the Deputy system.
- Perform additional duties as required by the organization.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of an Associate’s degree or higher, or current enrollment in a college program (mandatory).
- Experience with tutoring or working with children is preferred.
- Proficiency in tutoring Math and English Language Arts for elementary to middle school levels.
- Competence managing large student groups without direct supervision.
- Comfortable operating in a classroom environment.
- Ability to successfully complete an FBI-DOJ in-person background check.
- Spanish bilingual skills are advantageous but not essential.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay ranging from $20 to $26, dependent on education and experience.

Work Schedule
- Availability required Monday through Friday.
