About the Role
Join Visiting Angels in Boise as an In Home Patient Care Assistant (PCA), contributing to the well-being and quality of life for our valued clients across Boise, Garden City, Southeast Boise, and beyond. This role involves delivering compassionate, personalized care that supports clients' daily living activities according to their unique care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene and self-care tasks.
- Support clients in light physical exercises and walking routines.
- Prepare and plan meals together, respecting dietary needs.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Observe and report any health changes or unusual situations promptly.
- Provide friendly and supportive companionship to reduce feelings of isolation.
- React responsibly and swiftly during emergencies to ensure client safety.
- Accompany clients on shopping trips, offering supervision and assistance.
- Remind and assist clients in taking their prescribed medications correctly.
- Help with client mobility at home and during appointments or errands.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable personal vehicle for client transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- First Aid and emergency response training (provided if necessary).
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Reliable transportation to attend scheduled client visits.
- Physical ability to assist clients, including carrying groceries and supporting mobility.
- Comfort with performing household chores and cooking adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Willingness to comply with health and safety protocols, including background checks.
- Compassionate and understanding nature with a dedication to enhancing clients’ daily experiences.
