Role Overview
As an In-Flight Manager based in Nairobi County, Kenya, you will oversee onboard retail operations and service quality on partner flights. Your responsibilities include managing product offerings, merchandising, and inventory levels to meet brand and revenue objectives. You will work closely with cabin crew and ground teams to organize promotions, conduct product and service training, and ensure accurate sales and stock reporting. Daily duties involve monitoring key performance indicators, troubleshooting operational challenges, ensuring adherence to aviation and company standards, and driving improvements in inflight service delivery. Collaboration with internal departments and external partners will be critical to advancing strategic goals and elevating the passenger experience while maintaining Safari Group's standards of excellence.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in airline operations, travel retail, hospitality, or customer-facing roles, ideally with supervisory or management responsibilities.
- Strong operational management skills including inventory control and coordination between inflight and ground personnel.
- Excellent customer service capabilities and effective communication with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Competence in analyzing sales data and performance metrics to support revenue enhancement strategies.
- Effective organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple flight routes and duties.
- Familiarity with aviation or Duty Free regulations and inflight safety compliance is advantageous.
- Adaptability to fast-moving environments and operational changes.
- A diploma or degree in Business, Hospitality, Aviation Management, Retail Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
