Role Purpose
The IELTS Operations Assistant based in Dunedin plays a key role in supporting the Test Centre to deliver exceptional service in line with IELTS standards. This position involves coordinating with team members, managing customer inquiries, and overseeing all phases of the testing process from pre-test preparation through to post-test activities. The goal is to uphold efficient, compliant, and customer-focused operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout all stages of the test, including face-to-face interactions.
- Establish and nurture positive relationships with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Advise clients on official IELTS preparation materials and services provided by IDP.
- Support a diverse clientele with varying needs and backgrounds.
- Promote a team environment that values innovation, support, and customer orientation.
- Manage test day operations, including candidate registration and test supervision.
- Prepare and organize documentation required for the test day.
- Maintain and update digital records and databases accurately.
- Manage and adjust the timetable for Speaking tests as necessary.
- Safeguard secure, confidential exam materials appropriately.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with technical systems such as hardware and software used during operations.
- Foster continuous improvement initiatives and adopt best practice standards.
- Ensure all activities before, during, and after tests conform to IELTS quality and compliance requirements.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of test data across all platforms.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any incidents or security threats.
- Complete mandatory training and adhere strictly to organizational policies and values.
- Maintain professionalism while contributing to a culture of integrity and excellence.
Required Experience and Skills
- Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

Additional Information
- This is a casual paid position located at the Dunedin IELTS Test Centre.
- The role requires availability for 1 to 2 shifts monthly, primarily on weekends, including Saturdays.
- Compensation is set at NZD 34.44 per hour.
