Overview
This position is offered by a partner organization seeking an experienced IAM Engineer based in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on enhancing enterprise security by managing identity governance, access controls, and implementing Zero Trust security frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead identity and access management (IAM) initiatives ensuring security and compliance across enterprise systems.
- Develop and uphold IAM governance frameworks aligned with regulatory standards and security best practices.
- Design, deploy, and manage identity governance systems primarily using SailPoint Identity Security Cloud/IdentityIQ, supplemented by Okta.
- Implement least-privilege access models, role-based access control (RBAC), and enforce secure access policies for users, services, and privileged accounts.
- Oversee access lifecycle management including onboarding, transfers, and offboarding workflows.
- Coordinate periodic access reviews, certification processes, and address access discrepancies.
- Construct and maintain secrets management solutions that include secure storage, credential rotation, and lifecycle oversight.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed secure secrets usage and integration methods.
- Assess patch compliance, identify and address security vulnerabilities based on risk assessments.
- Define and implement encryption standards for data protection in cloud and enterprise environments.
- Support cryptographic key management and secure communication protocol enforcement.
- Drive adoption of Zero Trust security principles emphasizing identity-centric access governance and continuous authentication.
- Prepare compliance documentation, audit evidence, and detailed security reports while liaising with governance and audit departments.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 5 years in security engineering, IAM, or identity governance related cybersecurity roles.
- Extensive hands-on expertise with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud/IdentityIQ platforms and Okta administration.
- In-depth knowledge of IAM methodologies including RBAC, attribute-based access control (ABAC), least-privilege models, and privileged access management.
- Experience with secrets management tools like AWS Secrets Manager or alternatives.
- Competence in validating patch compliance and managing security service-level agreements alongside remediation tracking.
- Strong understanding of encryption methods, secure communication protocols, and overall data protection mechanisms.
- Experience supporting Zero Trust implementation strategies and identity-driven security models.
- Acquaintance with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with compliance standards like ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or NIST frameworks.
- Preferred background working within large-scale or regulated enterprise infrastructures.
- Excellent documentation capabilities paired with strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
