Job Overview
Maintaining hygiene in a kitchen that produces thousands of meals daily is crucial. We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to become part of our Hygiene Team at the production facility in Dulcote, Wells. This role is essential in ensuring that production areas are kept clean, safe, and fully compliant, upholding the high standards our customers expect from our dishes.
Working Schedule
The work pattern involves 4 consecutive nights on duty followed by 4 nights off, with shifts running from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Uphold and demonstrate food safety standards, including compliance with regulations such as HACCP; training will be provided.
- Effectively clean and sanitize equipment, surfaces, and production zones using appropriate chemicals and methods to maintain a hygienic environment and prevent contamination.
- Maintain vigilant attention to detail, identifying potential hygiene risks or hazards, and addressing them promptly.
- Collaborate closely with production teams and supervisors, reporting issues clearly and supporting uniform hygiene practices across the site.
- Proactively troubleshoot hygiene-related challenges and equipment concerns, implementing corrective measures to avoid recurrence.

Compensation and Benefits
- Starting hourly wage of £16.98, increasing to £17.68 after three months, equivalent to approximately £37,000-£38,000 annually based on 40 hours per week (overtime excluded).
- Overtime rates paid at a minimum of £20 per hour, calculated at 1.5 times the normal hourly rate.
