Role overview

This position is based at a luxury resort in Doha, Qatar, where the focus is on maintaining exceptional hygiene and food safety standards across food operations. The role combines supervisory responsibility, technical hygiene guidance, and team support within a high-end hospitality environment known for refined guest service and strong operational standards.

What you will do

  • Oversee day-to-day hygiene compliance in food operations and make sure food safety standards are consistently followed.
  • Advise teams on safe food-handling methods and deliver hygiene training to new hires and trainees.
  • Spot potential risk points in different food service areas and act early to correct issues before they escalate.
  • Provide guidance on product-labeling matters to help meet government and regulatory requirements.
  • Support management with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and coaching team members.
  • Follow all company, safety, and security procedures, and escalate maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to the manager.
  • Complete required safety training and any needed certifications.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information, safeguard company property, and respond promptly to guest service needs.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, build constructive working relationships, and help the team work toward shared goals.
  • Meet quality expectations and perform physical tasks that may involve standing, sitting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items up to 25 pounds.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate brings a strong hospitality mindset, practical knowledge of hygiene and food safety, and the ability to supervise and support a team. Prior experience in a related environment is important, along with the confidence to handle operational risks, training, and day-to-day coordination.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Environmental Health or Culinary studies.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • No license or certification is required.
