Job description
Overview
Pilgrim’s Europe is hiring a Hygiene Operative for its Bodmin site. This role sits within a busy food manufacturing environment and suits someone who is detail-focused, dependable, and ready to help maintain high cleanliness standards across the factory.
The shift pattern runs from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday, offering a regular night schedule. The role is paid hourly, with earnings that can exceed £500 per week.
What the role involves
You will help keep the factory operating smoothly by cleaning machinery, equipment, PPE, and related areas to the required quality and within agreed timeframes. Tasks may be assigned by the Senior Supervisor or the shift Supervisor.
- Carry out factory cleaning and disinfection work as directed by the Senior Supervisor.
- Maintain hygiene standards that meet or surpass site expectations.
- Follow health and safety procedures when handling chemicals and when taking equipment apart and putting it back together.
- Work alongside the site presentation team to finish assigned work on time, and support colleagues once your own tasks are completed.
- Use chemicals and cleaning tools efficiently to reduce unnecessary waste.
- Make sure PPE and consumables are ready and available for staff entering production areas.
