Hygiene Operative (2-10pm)

Role overview

Join the hygiene team on the afternoon shift and help keep the site clean, safe, and aligned with the highest cleanliness standards. In this position, you will support the upkeep of factory machinery and surrounding areas, working alongside production, technical, and engineering teams to ensure hygiene requirements are consistently met and improved where possible.

Shift: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Pay: £13.19 per hour

What you will do

• Keep factory equipment and the wider site environment clean to the standard required by company and customer operating procedures.
• Partner with production, technical, and engineering colleagues to maintain hygiene performance across the site.
• Make sure high-risk, low-risk, and external areas are maintained to the required level of cleanliness.
• Confirm that equipment returned to production is compliant with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Top up chemical and consumable dispensers as needed.
• Follow Clean As You Go practices throughout all areas at all times.
• Spot opportunities to improve hygiene processes and put suitable improvements in place.
• Complete departmental records and documentation accurately and on time.

• Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, how to use them correctly, and COSHH requirements.
