This position is located in Munich or Berlin and operates on a hybrid work model, combining remote work with on-site presence at LinkedIn offices as determined by team needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture both new and existing customer relationships through various communication channels including phone, MS Teams, and face-to-face meetings.
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales quotas by closing renewal, add-on, and new business deals.
- Sustain active prospecting efforts to expand market presence within the DACH academic and higher education mid-market segment.
- Create and implement strategic plans for the territory and provide dependable sales forecasts.
- Serve as a brand ambassador to raise awareness and understanding of LinkedIn Talent Solutions among potential higher education clients.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to drive business success.
- Demonstrate expertise in territory and account planning as well as sales forecasting.
- Utilize CRM and sales tools effectively to manage sales and buyer cycles.
- Travel approximately 20% of the time to support business needs.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum two years of sales experience.
- Fluent in both English and German in a business context.
- Preferred: Over two years of proven experience in closing sales transactions.
- Experience in human resources, recruitment media, and HR software domains.
- Background in selling SaaS, e-learning, or recruitment solutions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform.
- Understanding of software contract terms and skill in negotiating equitable agreements.
- Knowledge of the academic sector, especially relating to public sector tender processes.
- Strong skills in prospecting, negotiating, and providing accurate forecasts.
- Evidence of success in managing and closing high-value business in an evangelistic sales setting.
- Ability to evaluate business opportunities using data and influence decision-making.
- Capacity to handle multiple prospects while positioning products effectively against competitors.
- General interest in higher education and public sector activities.
