- Keep HR staffing databases current and accurate.
- Plan and deliver new hire orientation, including policy review and completion of required employee paperwork.
- Verify that I-9 documentation is completed and that e-Verify is updated within the first three days of employment.
- Support the administration of testing for civilian and sworn personnel when needed.
- Update name changes in FDLE and ATMS systems promptly.
- Prepare required state forms for new employees in line with CJSTC, FDLE, Florida Retirement System, and agency rules.
- Arrange candidate interviews and assemble interview question packets, including support for Oral Board materials.
- Serve as a point of contact between academies and the Sheriff's Office to help complete cadet applications, manage billing and documentation, and support cadet programs.
- Prepare contracts and amendments for Law Enforcement and Detention Cadet programs.
- Work with the Sr. Executive Assistant to coordinate swearing-in ceremonies when necessary.

Strong written and verbal English communication, basic math ability, and familiarity with HR procedures are important. The job also requires the ability to follow detailed instructions, write clear reports, build effective working relationships, and operate Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate to advanced level. A typing speed of 35 correct words per minute is needed.
