The role is within the Major Corporate department in Howden Singapore.
Role Overview
This position covers broad HR generalist work, business partnering, learning and development, reporting, HR systems support, employer branding, and employee communications. It also involves collaboration with regional teams and support for talent pipeline initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver full-cycle HR support across the employee journey, from recruitment and onboarding through engagement and offboarding.
- Serve as a dependable HR partner to internal stakeholders by providing practical advice aligned with business needs.
- Contribute to HR projects and work closely with regional HR colleagues.
- Help roll out HR policies, initiatives, and process enhancements.
- Support wider cross-functional and regional HR programmes.
- Identify organisation-wide learning needs through engagement with stakeholders.
- Create and implement training plans that support business objectives.
- Handle training enrolments and coordinate learning activities.
- Monitor participation levels and assess training effectiveness.
- Prepare HR reports and dashboards that support decision-making.
- Review HR data and turn findings into clear recommendations.
- Build relationships with universities, polytechnics, and ITEs to strengthen internship and talent pipeline efforts.
- Represent the organisation at career fairs, campus events, and on-site engagement activities.
- Develop links with industry bodies such as SCI and IBF to support talent development and brand visibility.
- Support employer branding initiatives that position the company as an employer of choice.
- Maintain employee records accurately in Workday and perform related data entry tasks.
- Safeguard data accuracy and compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with system improvements, testing, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Contribute to better HR system processes and user experience.
- Draft and share internal HR communications, including policy updates, announcements, and employee programmes.
Requirements
- Genuine interest in working with people and developing strong professional relationships.
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 to 6 years of experience in HR generalist roles.
- Experience using HRIS platforms, preferably Workday.
- Strong analytical ability and the capacity to convert data into insights.
- Exposure to employer branding, campus engagement, or talent pipeline work is advantageous.
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven, practical, and comfortable working independently or within a team.
- Strong planning and project coordination abilities.
- Careful, organised, and able to work to deadlines.
