Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Officer to oversee staffing needs and provide HR services at our Winnipeg, Manitoba location. The position involves recruiting, advising, and coordinating staffing processes while maintaining organizational policies and employee support.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine current and future staffing demands for the company.
- Offer employee assistance and counseling services when necessary.
- Create, publish, and manage job postings and advertisements.
- Screen and assess applications to shortlist suitable candidates.
- Inform applicants about job criteria and employment terms.
- Review applicant inventories and arrange interviews with potential hires.
- Participate in selection committees and evaluation boards to assess candidates.
- Communicate selection results and extend job offers to successful applicants.
- Advise management and staff regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate recruitment and hiring activities effectively.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with MS Windows platform.
- Experience using human resources management software.
- Skilled in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word applications.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks with attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication abilities.
- Organized, reliable, with good judgment and flexibility.
- Team-oriented with adaptability to changing work demands.
- Ability to multitask efficiently.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a criminal record check as part of security clearance.
- Education level: College or CEGEP diploma.
- Work experience: Between 3 and 5 years in a related HR role.
- Work language: English.
- Regular workweek consists of 40 hours.
