Job description

Role overview

An established regulatory and semi-state organisation in Dublin City Centre is hiring a Human Resources Officer for a permanent full-time position. This opportunity is aimed at an HR professional who enjoys working in a role that combines day-to-day generalist support with a strong focus on people data, reporting, and strategic projects.

The position sits within a well-regarded HR team and supports senior leaders on initiatives that influence wider business decisions. It is a varied role that balances operational HR work with analytical and project-based responsibilities, offering scope for professional growth in a high-impact environment.

What the role involves

  • Supporting HR analytics activities by maintaining accurate HR systems, checking data quality, and building dashboards or metrics that help guide management decisions.
  • Assisting with end-to-end recruitment activity, onboarding, offboarding, and the preparation or improvement of HR policies.
  • Working alongside the Employee Relations Manager on strategic HR programmes and stepping in to cover duties when needed.
  • Helping strengthen workplace culture while also improving HR processes, systems, and data-related workflows.

Experience and background needed

  • You should have at least 3 years of experience in an HR role, ideally with substantial exposure to HR projects, reporting, and system improvements.
  • Hands-on use of HR information systems is important, along with strong computer skills, especially in Excel and Office 365; experience with Power BI would be an advantage.
  • A working understanding of Irish employment law is required.
  • You should also bring practical experience in core HR activities such as recruitment, selection, and policy writing.
  • A Certificate or Degree in Human Resources, or equivalent practical experience, is expected. CIPD membership is strongly preferred.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to candidates who are EU/EEA/UK citizens or who hold a valid Stamp 4 visa. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
