About the Role
We are looking for a forward-thinking Human Resources Manager to join a US-based LNG company, reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources. This position is stationed in Arlington, Virginia, requiring full onsite presence with no hybrid work options. The successful candidate will guide and lead a growing team handling critical HR functions including talent management, compliance adherence, employee relations, performance management, and learning and development efforts. The ideal individual is experienced in building and managing teams in fast-expanding environments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HR contact point for the corporate office, providing expert support and guidance.
- Coach leadership and staff on employee relations; conduct internal investigations into workplace concerns and recommend solutions.
- Advise management on matters related to legal compliance and employment law.
- Oversee all aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Develop, maintain, and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with federal and local regulatory standards, fostering a positive organizational culture.
- Contribute to company-wide HR initiatives and support their execution.
- Create and refine HR policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance functionality.
- Manage performance management activities, including facilitating reviews, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Lead and mentor HR team members and serve as the main escalation point for the team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of ten years' progressive experience as an HR generalist with a strong passion for HR's strategic role in organizations. Keen interest in adopting latest HR best practices and developing a distinctive employment brand.
- Professional certifications such as SHRM or PHR for US/global HR standards are advantageous.
- Proficient in modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), with a focus on process optimization through technology. Knowledge of Greenhouse and ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
- Strong multitasking ability, managing numerous projects with meticulous attention to detail to avoid oversights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly articulating ideas to diverse audiences. Skilled at coaching others in effective communication techniques.
