Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and manage all HR functions at our Abu Dhabi office. This role is operational and hands-on, responsible for overseeing the complete HR lifecycle for a large workforce comprising of delivery riders, drivers, and office staff. The successful candidate will excel in a fast-moving startup setting and possess in-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws, workforce management, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the HR department ensuring all activities align with company policies and quality standards.
- Delegate duties, prioritize tasks, and evaluate the performance of HR team members.
- Serve as the final internal authority before escalating HR issues to senior management.
- Manage end-to-end HR operations for diverse workforce groups including bike riders, car drivers, and white-collar employees.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding processes, employee documentation, and maintain accurate personnel records.
- Administer medical insurance, leave management, and monitor workforce status to prevent operational disruption.
- Handle disciplinary procedures, investigations, and maintain positive employee relations.
- Ensure all HR operations comply with UAE labor laws, Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) regulations, and Wage Protection System (WPS) guidelines.
- Lead MOHRE inspections, audits, and manage visa and medical insurance processes.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Experience coordinating payroll elements including overtime, deductions, and incentives.
- Tracking and monitoring employee performance metrics such as attendance, punctuality, and productivity.
- Handling incident reports and disciplinary cases effectively.
- Organization of employee accommodation and transportation.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with HR Management Systems (HRMS) and attendance tracking tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of UAE labor law compliance.
- Leadership skills to manage HR coordinators and team leaders effectively.
- Capability to enforce discipline while sustaining team morale.
- Ability to make timely decisions during peak operational periods.
- Analytical skills for optimizing workforce deployment.
- Process-oriented approach with meticulous attention to detail.
- Urgency and problem-solving strengths to address challenges promptly.
Experience and Other Requirements
- At least 3 years of UAE-based experience managing delivery riders or a workforce exceeding 500 blue-collar employees.
- Background in sectors like logistics, delivery services, transportation, FMCG, manpower outsourcing, or other high-volume workforce environments.
- A proactive, energetic personality and adaptability to a startup culture.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
