The Human Resources Generalist functions as a key collaborator with leadership and staff to oversee, implement, and enhance HR programs covering all stages of the employee lifecycle. Responsibilities include independently handling recruitment, employee relations, compliance, onboarding, performance management, HR analytics, and policy management. Primary Duties

  • Manage and implement HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Lead comprehensive recruitment efforts to achieve hiring targets ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with department heads to offer guidance on employee relations, performance evaluation, policy interpretation, and workplace issues.
  • Analyze human resources data and trends to propose improvements aligned with business needs.
  • Create, update, and refine HR documentation, standard operating procedures, and employee resources to boost efficiency and consistency.
  • Guarantee adherence to applicable employment laws and maintain accurate personnel records.

Secondary Duties

  • Oversee employee onboarding, offboarding, transfers, promotions, and organizational adjustments independently.
  • Act as the main contact for routine employee relation concerns, escalating complex matters appropriately.
  • Conduct audits of HRIS data, personnel files, and compliance documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate yearly HR initiatives such as performance evaluations, benefits communication, policy acknowledgment, and engagement surveys.
  • Support leave management, accommodations, workplace investigations, and compliance documentation.
  • Manage inquiries through the HR communication channels with prompt responses.
  • Work with hiring managers on recruitment, interviews, and hiring of suitable candidates.
  • Ensure precise processing of employee status changes within HR systems.
  • Plan and organize employee engagement, recognition, and culture-building activities.
  • Assist executive leadership with strategic HR projects and initiatives.
  • Suggest and implement process enhancements aimed at improving work efficiency and employee satisfaction.
  • Perform any other assigned responsibilities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, applicant tracking software, and HR technology tools.

  • Uphold highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Education and Experience

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Three to five years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Demonstrated capability supporting diverse HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and benefits.
  • Prior experience within a multi-state operational environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and reporting tools.
  • Working knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Preferred professional certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR.
