Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for an HR Executive to support day-to-day people operations for a retail business. This position is centred on HR administration, support across the employee journey, and process discipline, with occasional involvement in hiring and employer branding based on business requirements. The role also contributes to HR reporting, staff engagement efforts, and the smooth running of compliant HR practices that help maintain a healthy workplace culture in Singapore.

Recruitment Support

  • Assist with hiring activities when needed, including sourcing coordination, screening support, and arranging interviews.
  • Handle onboarding administration and employment paperwork, including preparation for new joiners, contract issuance, and other employee life cycle documents.
  • Keep employee records accurate and current, ensuring all movement and status changes are documented promptly.
  • Coordinate work pass administration for non-Singaporean employees, including renewals and cancellations, in line with local requirements.

Employee Relations, Retention, and Grievance Support

  • Act as a first point of contact for routine employee queries and provide guidance aligned with company policy.
  • Support the management of employee feedback, workplace concerns, and grievance matters through documentation and follow-up actions.
  • Help coordinate exit interviews and compile data to support retention review and improvements in employee experience.

HR Operations and Benefits Administration

  • Manage administrative processes across the employee life cycle, including confirmations, transfers, promotions, resignations, and conversions.
  • Process employee claims, including work injury-related claims, according to company policy.
  • Support foreign manpower administration by ensuring work pass applications and cancellations are completed on time.
  • Maintain HR records and employee information accurately within HR systems.
  • Respond to general HR enquiries and provide operational support to employees and managers.

Performance Management and HR Projects

  • Support annual performance review and salary increment cycles by gathering data, preparing documents, and coordinating administration.
  • Prepare standard HR correspondence and maintain records connected to performance-related processes.
  • Contribute to HR initiatives and projects assigned by management.

Employee Engagement and Employer Branding

  • Assist in planning and coordinating engagement activities, festive celebrations, wellness programmes, and internal events.
  • Support content and coordination work for employer branding and internal communication initiatives when required.
  • Share ideas and help drive initiatives that strengthen team culture and improve the employee experience.

Candidate Profile

This role suits someone with solid HR operations experience, strong administrative discipline, and the confidence to manage multiple priorities in a busy retail environment. Familiarity with Singapore employment regulations and fair employment practices is important, along with strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.

Additional Information

This role is primarily operations-focused. Recruitment and employer branding support may be assigned as needed depending on business priorities. Experience in retail is considered an added advantage.
