About the Role
Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited is hiring an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner for the Sales function. This position will focus on connecting business goals with people practices, supporting managers and employees, and shaping HR initiatives that improve performance, engagement, and culture.
The role acts as a trusted advisor to leadership, an advocate for employees, and a driver of change. It involves identifying HR needs early, coordinating with the HR team, and creating practical solutions that support the business.
Location: Vikhroli, Mumbai
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with business leaders to understand commercial priorities and translate them into HR plans that support those objectives.
- Create and roll out HR initiatives that strengthen productivity, employee engagement, and organizational culture.
- Manage hiring activities for corporate functions and help bring in strong-quality talent.
- Design and run onboarding processes so new hires can settle in smoothly and quickly.
- Plan and deliver training initiatives that improve employee skills and overall capability.
- Support goal-setting, regular feedback, and appraisal discussions as part of the performance management cycle.
- Partner with business heads to identify high-potential employees and build development and succession plans.
- Handle underperformance issues promptly and constructively.
- Serve as a primary HR contact for questions related to policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Investigate and resolve employee relation concerns, including conducting detailed inquiries where required.
- Support a respectful, inclusive, and positive workplace by addressing diversity and inclusion matters.
- Review HR data and metrics to provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Track workforce patterns, attrition, and engagement indicators, and share relevant updates with leadership.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws and HR compliance requirements while staying current on legal changes.
- Assist with organizational change efforts in the corporate functions area.
- Help prepare and communicate change plans and support employees through transitions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in HR, preferably in business partnering and supporting corporate functions.
- Hands-on experience in talent management, employee relations, and performance management.
- Sound knowledge of HR practices and applicable labor laws.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to build productive relationships with stakeholders across levels.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach with solid problem-solving skills.
- Comfort using HR software and Microsoft Office tools.
