About the role
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will act as the main HR point of contact for several clients operating in different industries and jurisdictions. This position calls for solid knowledge of U.S. employment law, especially in states such as California and New York, along with the ability to craft practical HR solutions for complex people and culture challenges. The role requires strong client relationship management, coordination across multiple projects, and clear verbal and written communication. The HRBP will support organizations through change, build HR policies, guide compensation initiatives, and help leaders create compliant, high-performing workplaces. The role is based in Colorado with a hybrid setup, allowing remote work and onsite client visits as needed. Travel to client locations may be required.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a client-facing HR business partner role
- At least 2 years of experience overseeing deliverables within an HR team
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Professional HR credentials such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are considered a plus
- Strong command of U.S. employment law across multiple states, with California and New York experience preferred
- Hands-on experience with HRIS implementation and HR software platforms
- Ability to work with data, build reports, and prepare presentations
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication abilities
- Proven skill in managing several clients and projects at the same time
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organization skills
- Exposure to change management and project management practices
- Comfort using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other HR-related tools
Responsibilities
- Act as the HR partner for multiple clients, offering both strategic advice and operational assistance
- Evaluate existing HR programs and create tailored HR plans that align with client objectives and compliance requirements
- Make sure HR practices comply with local, state, and other relevant employment laws and standards
- Draft, update, and roll out HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks when needed
- Take ownership of advanced compensation projects, including salary bands and incentive structures, using data insights
- Assess and improve HRIS platforms, and lead implementation work when required
- Build and refine performance management processes that strengthen engagement and accountability
- Design compensation approaches using market research and industry benchmarking
- Handle employee relations matters and recommend effective resolution paths
- Coach managers and employees on HR best practices and leadership growth
- Develop and deliver HR training sessions for client teams
- Join virtual and in-person meetings with client leaders and employees to keep priorities aligned
- Serve as the key relationship owner between Humani HR and client C-suite leaders, maintaining strong partnerships
